IU Health University Hospital is offering a travel position for an RN in Dialysis. The shift is from 08:00 AM to 04:00 PM, with five shifts per week totaling 40 scheduled hours. The job order starts on 08/10/2026 and ends on 11/09/2026, for a duration of 13 weeks. The shift details are 4x10-hour days (07:00 - 17:30). The pre-screening question is about Plasma Exchange and Red Blood Cell Exchange experience.

Shift requirements include rotating call. Certification requirements are BCLS. Skillset requirements include a minimum of three years of experience, and experience with Apheresis Equipment or Dialysis and Central lines and ports. Staffing ratios are 1:1. The unit information includes GVHD, BO, CTCL, and Photopheresis. Special equipment includes CellEx.

Job requirements and qualifications include previous charge experience (preferred), three years of experience, patient ratio experience, and charting system experience (required). Certifications include BLS. Skills include cannulating AV fistula, cannulating AV graft, acute care inpatient dialysis, apheresis treatment, blood prime, blood return, chronic outpatient dialysis, infection control, interpretation/management of dysrhythmias, post apheresis treatment, red blood cell exchange, therapeutic plasma exchange/plasmapheresis, tunneled/non-tunneled catheter, and apheresis equipment or dialysis.

Unit details include block scheduling type and no float, call, or weekend coverage required. Patient age groups include adolescents and adults. The facility has eight rooms and eight beds. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, interpretation services, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary. Patient diagnoses include GVHD, BO, and CTCL. Special procedures include photopheresis.

Travel compliance requires an accredited university by the ACEN or CCNE at the time of graduation. SSN and DOB are required at the time of submittal. RTO can be auto-approved for 5 days of non-holiday RTO or less. Candidates must work two out of three major holidays. If one position is available, three submissions can be allowed at one time. 18 months of experience is required, however, please refer to the job description for any exceptions made depending on the unit. License must be in hand prior to the start date. Temporary licenses may be obtainable once perm license applications have been submitted. Two supervisor references are required. Local radius: IN residents are considered local. Local rules: accepted for surgical services positions, allied positions, and IU clinics. Not accepted for MS, MS Tele, PCU, ICU, and ER positions. Background policy to be noted prior to submission so we can seek approval prior to offer. Any PERM or PRN employee of IU must be away for 12 months before applying as a traveler. Consecutive contract policy: current or past IU travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment anywhere within IU Health are required to take a designated break to reset travel eligibility effective 2/24/26. This break must be taken in one consecutive period and cannot be split up under any circumstances. Please see AM for additional clarification if needed. Out-of-state residents require a 3-month/90-day break to reset eligibility prior to the travelers year mark. In-state residents require a 6-month/180-day break to reset eligibility prior to the travelers year mark.
