Director, Transfer Center

Job Summary The Director oversees and coordinates all operations of the Transfer Center including the implementation of a transfer advising model, advancing retention strategies for students in academic programs seeking transfer to a four‑year college or university, and building partnerships with higher education institutions that expand access opportunities for students intending to transfer. Collaboration with the campus community and external partners is essential to providing leadership to the Transfer Center. Salary & Benefits Annual base salary of $68,659 with full benefits package. Qualifications Experience Three years of higher education experience, preferably in academic advising. Knowledge Demonstrates knowledge of the articulation process, transfer advising, and guided pathways models. Demonstrates knowledge of how to cultivate and maintain relationships and partnerships with other institutions. Understands working in a diverse environment, specifically a Hispanic Serving Institution. Skills Demonstrates skills in communication, program management, organization, and technology. Ability to work within a team environment. Commitment to collaboration and teamwork. Responsibilities Directs and manages all aspects of the Transfer Center. Advises students on their college transfer opportunities. Implements, delivers, and evaluates all project activities and services related to the Transfer Center in compliance with Title V grant requirements for the length of the grant. Serves as the liaison and point of contact for colleges and universities for the development and maintenance of articulation agreements. Conducts proactive outreach and relationship management with current college and university partners. Works in collaboration with the Dean of Retention and Student Engagement to track students’ academic performance for those intending to transfer. Trains advisors, faculty, and other staff on transfer pathways, articulation agreements, and information related to transfer. Maintains strong relationships with faculty and academic chairs to ensure academic maps are designed for seamless transfer pathways. Develops programming in collaboration with academic and student affairs units of the college. Maintains budgets and comprehensive records of all services provided through the Transfer Center. Compiles and analyzes data, prepares reports, and provides regular updates on Transfer Center activities and outcomes. Develops a program evaluation framework to assess the strengths of the program and to identify areas for improvement. Collaborates with all areas of the College to achieve objectives of Title V and promote student success. Serves on appropriate institutional committees as assigned.
