Main duties include setting up and breaking down each morning's breakfast buffet, ensuring buffet items such fruits, breads, cereals, and bakery items remain well-stocked, maintaining the safety and appearance of the buffet area and cleaning the area in preparation for the next day. This may include replenishing silverware, sugar caddies and condiments, light to moderate food preparation, refilling beverage containers, mopping, wiping, and sweeping. The attendant may perform duties similar to those of a restaurant waiter or busboy such as attending to special food orders or needs of the guests, clearing dirty plates from tables, relaying customer needs to the kitchen and providing or refilling drinks. The person in this position must be able to roll their sleeves up and assist our teams when needed, living our "ONE TEAM. ONE VISION." philosophy. This person must also provide innovative ways that align with our mission to be the best, most respected hotel company in America.The job is simple:Focus on ways to promote and engage in internal growth programs.Continuously exemplify and live by our Culture.Meet/exceed our company goals and three metrics.Complete all required brand specific trainingComplete all required Vision University trainingComplete all required health and safety trainingAdhere to all Vision Hospitality Group and property specific brand standardsProvide personalized, friendly service to every individual you encounterLearn as much as you can by completing all required trainingPrepare breakfast foods and have the dining area/buffet set for the start of serviceGreets guests, answers questions, and accommodates special requests as neededReplenish food product throughout the shift as neededExamine food products and supplies to ensure quality and quantityRestocks bar, replenishes pantry, cleans counters, tables, utensils, and kitchen at the end of shiftResets counters and tables at guests' departure and at end of shiftsIf charged breakfast is used, compute bill, accepts payment, and track sales receiptsManage the presentation of tableware so that it is accessible for the guestsMonitor cleanliness and proper sanitization of tables, stations, and service areasObtain feedback, and effectively resolve customer problems and complaintsProvide assistance when needed to your fellow team, guests, and other departmentsPerform any other duties as requested by leadership to aid in better operation of the property and service to the guestsNecessary Skills:Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, associate issues, etc.Must be responsible for safety and security of guests, fellow associates, and hotel assetsHave knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures.Have dependable transportation availableAble to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in personAble to work a flexible schedule.
