Tier 2 Field Technician

Location: Doral/Miami, FL – Regional Travel Required
Contract: Through January 2027 | Potential Extension or Full-Time Conversion

ARC Group has an immediate opportunity for a Tier 2 Field Technician supporting multiple locations throughout the Doral/Miami area. This is a hands-on IT support position focused on troubleshooting and maintaining computers, peripherals, mobile devices, printers, software, and basic network connectivity.

The ideal candidate is a dependable, customer-focused IT professional who enjoys working directly with users, troubleshooting technical problems, and traveling between multiple locations to provide onsite support.

Important Requirements

• Permanent U.S. work authorization required
• No C2C, third-party, or visa sponsorship
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to travel between multiple locations throughout the Doral/Miami area
• Ability to lift and move IT equipment weighing up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2 onsite IT support for multiple regional locations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving desktops, laptops, monitors, docking stations, printers, mobile devices, phones, and other peripherals.
• Troubleshoot Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, business applications, and common hardware issues.
• Diagnose basic LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless connectivity problems and escalate complex network issues when necessary.
• Install, configure, replace, and maintain computers and other IT equipment.
• Assist with workstation deployments, equipment refreshes, migrations, and replacements.
• Support printers, scanners, audiovisual equipment, and other office technology.
• Respond to IT incidents and service requests through the company's ticketing system.
• Identify the root cause of technical issues and resolve them when possible or escalate to Tier 3 support.
• Keep users informed regarding the status of incidents, service requests, scheduled maintenance, and equipment replacements.
• Maintain accurate IT asset and equipment records.
• Serve as the onsite IT point of contact for assigned locations.
• Provide basic technical guidance and training to end users.
• Assist with planned maintenance, technology upgrades, and unplanned outages.
• Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation for emergency IT support.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security, and other IT teams when issues require additional support.

Required Qualifications

• 1+ years of hands-on IT support, desktop support, help desk, field service, or related experience
• Experience troubleshooting Windows computers and common hardware/software issues
• Experience providing direct customer or end-user technical support
• Basic understanding of LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networking
• Experience using an IT ticketing or service management system
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently while traveling between multiple locations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience providing onsite or field IT support
• Experience supporting multiple offices or locations
• Active Directory experience
• Experience with computer imaging and workstation deployments
• CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or other IT certifications
• Experience with IT asset management
• Experience supporting printers, mobile devices, and audiovisual equipment

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Technical degree, IT coursework, or industry certifications are a plus

Position Overview

This position supports 11 locations throughout the Doral/Miami region , with the primary office located in Doral. The technician will travel between locations as needed to provide hands-on technical support.

This is a Tier 2 Field Technician position , with an emphasis on end-user support, hardware/software troubleshooting, equipment deployment, and onsite customer service. Candidates with backgrounds primarily in senior network engineering, systems engineering, or IT management may be overqualified for this opportunity.
