Overview
Registered Nurse, Med Surg in Portales, New Mexico. Start date 06/08/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay range $1,874 to $1,968 per week with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Setting: a rural, community acute care facility providing medical-surgical care.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive med-surg nursing care for adult patients, including assessments, monitoring, wound care, IV therapy, pain management, and medication administration.
- Recognize changes in patient conditions and respond promptly; collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to adjust care plans.
- Document care accurately in the electronic health record and ensure adherence to safety, infection control, and regulatory policies.
- Manage supplies, perform routine procedures, and assist with patient throughput and discharge planning as appropriate.
- Maintain a leadership role on shift when assigned, including supervision and support of on-coming staff; occasional charge nurse duties as needed.
- Pediatric admissions may occur; deliver age-appropriate care and coordinate with care teams accordingly.

Requirements
- Active RN license in New Mexico or eligible for NM licensure (compact licensure preferred).
- BLS and PALS certifications required.
- Med-surg or acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN).
- Ability to work nights and to function effectively in a rural acute care setting; strong assessment, communication, and teamwork skills.
