Position Summary

The Inside Sales Specialist is a key member of Micro-Mode's Sales Organization, providing advanced support for account management, commercial operations, and customer engagement. Working closely with Sales Leadership, Sales Representatives, and Customer Service, this role supports customer growth, forecasting, demand analysis, quoting, contract review, and order management.

While the position includes customer service responsibilities, its primary focus is sales support, business analysis, strategic account management, and cross-functional collaboration. The role requires greater commercial, technical, and analytical expertise than a traditional Customer Service position.

Essential Responsibilities

• Partner with Sales Leadership and Sales Representatives on customer opportunities, sales growth initiatives, forecasting, demand planning, and POS analysis.
• Analyze backlog, forecasts, demand trends, and customer activity to identify opportunities and risks.
• Prepare quotations, pricing agreements, sales orders, and related customer documentation.
• Review purchase orders for pricing, specifications, and contractual compliance.
• Serve as a primary contact for assigned customers, providing proactive communication and issue resolution.
• Manage order status, delivery commitments, expedites, returns, and customer inquiries.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer Service to meet customer and business objectives.
• Support strategic account reviews, KPI initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Maintain accurate ERP, CRM, customer, and forecasting records.

Position Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Management, Communications, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in inside sales, account management, sales operations, business development support, or commercial operations within manufacturing.
• Experience supporting forecasting, demand analysis, pricing, account management, and sales growth initiatives.
• Strong understanding of quoting, contract review, order management, CRM systems, and customer relationship management.
• Ability to interpret technical product specifications and commercial requirements.
• Experience with RF connectors, interconnect products, electromechanical components, or related technical products strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Technical Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred), CRM platforms, and customer portals.
• Heavy daily computer use, including ERP, CRM, reporting, forecasting, and Microsoft Office applications.

Position Distinction

This role extends beyond traditional customer service responsibilities. In addition to customer support, the Inside Sales Specialist is expected to contribute to sales growth, strategic account management, forecasting, demand analysis, and commercial decision-making while serving as a key cross-functional resource within Micro-Mode's Sales Organization.

U.S. Citizenship or other qualification as a "U.S. Person" required due to defense-related projects and ITAR regulation.

Equal Pay Act Range

Hourly rate is from $26.83 to $39.90, plus a benefits plan.
