Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric ICU position requiring at least 1 year of experience, with night shifts and Level 1 experience required.

Details

• Pediatric ICU (PICU) unit in a hospital setting
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
• Level 1 experience required
• CVICU and NICU experience is preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or eNLC compact license) currently in hand
• Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
• Level 1 facility experience required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assuming care for an assigned patient group, monitoring physiological data, administering medications, managing IV infusions and blood products, and collaborating with physicians
• Communicates care plans and discharge instructions with patients and families
• Delegates appropriate tasks to support staff and makes referrals to appropriate personnel as needed
• Compliance requirements (drug screening, background check, medical requirements) must be initiated immediately upon acceptance of an offer
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period after 26 cumulative weeks before being eligible for a new contract
