Warehouse Operations Supervisor

Warehouse Operations Supervisor

Job Type: Full-time; On-site

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership to assigned personnel through effective goal setting, performance reviews, delegation, and communication.
• Provide measurable feedback, suggestions for improved performance and recognition for achievements.
• Conduct interviews, hiring and training as necessary.
• Support the safety programs to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a safe working environment for all associates.
• Assist with process improvement initiatives.
• Conduct regular meetings to ensure that personnel are well informed of policies and procedures. Continually enforces productivity standards.
• Ensure excellent customer service and communication

Receiving:

• Check in product completely and accurately
• Stock products correctly

Loading:

• Pick product for daily deliveries along with special deliveries
• Load trucks using good judgment regarding use of space and product safety

Returns:

• Inspect and physically count returned merchandise
• Restock inventory in appropriate place
• Outbound freight of vender returns
• Paperwork for all warranty product
• Unloading of customer/inventory transfers from corporate warehouses
• Operate power equipment, including fork-lift
• May work as a backup driver as assigned or directed

Experience:

• 3 years of related experience
• Skills and experience sufficient to supervise assistant receivers and helpers
• Knowledge of or ability to learn computer systems
• Willing to work overtime or flexible hours on short notice
• Good memory and scanning abilities
• Good communication and math skills
• Able to lift 65 lbs. with the proper equipment and climb 20 feet on a regular basis
• Able to learn to use a forklift
• May require valid driver’s license and conformance with company driver policy
• Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test (do not test for THC / marijuana)
