Adhesive Formulator

Simpson Strong‑Tie is a leader in engineered structural connectors, software, and solutions for the building industry. We are seeking an Adhesive Formulator to perform mixing processes that support production while ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Operate mixing equipment in line with ignition, process instructions, and procedures (60%). Monitor equipment to maintain safe operation and desired run rates. Make evaluations of mixing chemicals and compounds using work instructions and on‑the‑job training knowledge. Report any deviations in materials and expected results. Prepare raw materials, packaging, and identify correct quantities. Transport materials to and from the warehouse and production areas, reporting any issues. Maintain housekeeping within the area of responsibility. Perform other duties requested by production leadership. Desired Skills and Experience 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Minimum 1 year of experience mixing chemicals. High school diploma or general education diploma; basic educational degree preferred. Basic knowledge of MS Office. Ability to read and understand work orders, production processes, safety regulations, and quality procedures. Knowledge and experience with SAP desirable. Ability to stand for long periods. Forklift experience preferred. Physical Requirements and Work Environment Regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk, and hear. Must operate large equipment and maintain appropriate positioning. Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50pounds. May be exposed to heat and/or cold, wet or humid conditions, fumes, toxic chemicals, dust, loud noise, and moving mechanical parts. Travel Domestic and international travel up to 5% of the time. Compensation and Benefits Hourly rate: $22.98 – $34.47.
