Special Education Teacher – Portland, OR Hourly pay: $52/hr. Start date: August 17, 2026. Contract through the 2026–2027 school year. Location: Portland, Oregon Pay: $52 per hour Teaching certification with SPED endorsement required Benefits Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) plan Competitive weekly pay Flexible scheduling Direct deposit Travel benefits (as applicable) Responsibilities Lead teacher role in a preschool inclusive classroom serving young children from birth to age five, including those with developmental delays or disabilities. Deliver instructional services to children with a variety of developmental disabilities or delays. Work with children in multiple settings to implement personalized focused treatment programs to increase positive outcomes and independence. Collaborate with a team of staff, including two educational support staff (paras), to create an inclusive learning environment. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university preferred. Valid Oregon teaching certificate with SPED endorsement. One year experience as an Early Intervention Specialist preferred. Current CPR certification if applicable. Completed TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if required. Current health certificate per contract or state regulation.
