Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Set up and operate 3-axis and 4-axis CNC mills and lathes to produce high-tolerance aerospace components from aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel. 3 plus years exp. needed. 

• Precision Measurement: Perform in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, depth gauges, and bore gauges to ensure parts meet tolerances as tight as $\pm 0.0005$ inches.

• Blueprint Interpretation: Interpret complex engineering drawings and CAD models, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) symbols, to determine precise machining sequences.

• Tooling & Offsets: Monitor tool wear and perform manual offset adjustments and tool changes to maintain part consistency across long production runs.

• Code Proficiency: Basic troubleshooting of G-code and M-code at the controller to resolve minor program errors and optimize cycle times.

The essential functions of this role include:

• wearing steel toe shoes
• manual lifting up to 50lbs
• standing for 8 hours at one time
• working up to 5 hrs of overtime per week
