Investor Relations Manager

Macdonald & Company has been exclusively retained by a private equity real estate investment firm to appoint an Investor Relations Manager based in Miami, Florida. The position will support the firm’s continued growth across its multifamily and private credit platforms, working closely with senior leadership and the broader capital raising team. About the Company Our client is a private real estate investment and management firm with a successful track record acquiring, renovating, and operating institutional-quality multifamily properties across the southeastern United States. The platform partners with a sophisticated investor base that includes family offices, high-net-worth individuals, and select institutional investors. The firm has established a strong pipeline of value-add multifamily opportunities and manages a growing portfolio of stabilized assets. In addition to its core multifamily strategy, the company operates a private credit platform providing short-term, asset-backed loans to real estate investors and developers, offering diversified fixed-income exposure to its investor network. Position Summary The Investor Relations Manager will play an important role in supporting the firm’s capital raising initiatives across its equity and credit investment vehicles. Rather than serving as a primary capital originator, this individual will focus on building and managing the processes, systems, data and technology infrastructure that enable the firm’s senior team to raise capital more efficiently and effectively. The successful candidate will be highly organized, analytically minded and technologically savvy, with the ability to improve how investor prospects are identified, tracked, engaged and converted. This individual will take ownership of the firm’s CRM and fundraising pipeline, help institutionalize investor relations processes, and identify opportunities to utilize AI, automation and emerging technologies to enhance research, reporting, communication and overall productivity. Key Responsibilities Support senior leadership and the capital raising team across fundraising initiatives for the firm’s multifamily funds, co-investment vehicles and private credit strategies. Own and continuously improve the firm’s CRM and investor pipeline management processes, ensuring investor data, activity, opportunities and follow-up actions are accurately captured. Develop scalable processes and workflows for investor prospecting, outreach, meeting preparation, follow-up and ongoing relationship management. Identify and implement opportunities to utilize AI, automation and technology to improve investor research, prospect identification, CRM management, communication, reporting and team productivity. Conduct research on prospective investors, family offices, RIAs, wealth managers and other potential sources of capital. Develop investor segmentation and targeting strategies to help the senior team prioritize the highest-value relationships and opportunities. Prepare senior leadership for investor meetings through research, investor profiles, relationship history, relevant portfolio information and supporting materials. Coordinate post-meeting follow-up, track next steps and ensure opportunities progress effectively through the fundraising pipeline. Assist with the preparation and ongoing development of investor presentations, pitchbooks, due diligence materials, fund updates and other fundraising collateral. Coordinate investor communications and help ensure consistent messaging across the firm’s equity and credit strategies. Work with investment, asset management and accounting teams to collect relevant portfolio and performance information for investor reporting and fundraising materials. Analyze fundraising activity and pipeline data to provide leadership with visibility into investor engagement, conversion, fundraising progress and key trends. Evaluate existing investor relations systems and processes and proactively recommend improvements as the platform continues to scale. Support investor onboarding, due diligence requests and other aspects of the capital formation process as required. Qualifications 3–5 years of professional experience in investor relations, capital formation, fundraising operations, client relations, business development operations or a comparable role within real estate, private equity, private credit or alternative investments. Experience within multifamily or broader private real estate strongly preferred. Strong understanding of the fundraising lifecycle and the processes required to manage prospective and existing investor relationships effectively. Demonstrated experience working with CRM systems, pipeline management, data management and reporting tools. Strong interest in and practical understanding of AI, automation and emerging technologies, with the ability to identify real-world applications that improve business processes and team productivity. Advanced analytical and organizational skills with a process-oriented mindset and strong attention to detail. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office capabilities; experience with investor relations, CRM, data visualization or workflow automation platforms is advantageous. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively with senior executives, investment professionals and sophisticated investors.
