Tolerate outside weather conditions Major Responsibilities and Duties: Ensure student safety at all times. Create and maintain a positive learning environment. Instruct/lead students during all activities. Prepare for lessons and activities prior to student arrival; store materials at the end of each day. Assist children in maintaining the standards of behavior set by the program by using non-punitive disciplinary methods and positive reinforcement strategies. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and co-workers. Maintain accurate attendance records. Work effectively in a team setting. Actively participate in team meetings with the site coordinator and fellow instructors. Attend staff meetings and professional development/training as required by the site coordinator. Know all campus emergency procedures. Know the procedures for medical emergencies. Maintain professional conduct at all times.
