Then we would like to hear from you!About the RoleYou'll contribute hands-on to the development of a companion app for the new generation of Honda and Acura brands. Applications you develop will target Android and iOS, and will communicate with modules of the car through various protocols over the network and Bluetooth.We're looking for someone who has a strong sense of ownership of product features and quality, is enthusiastic about trying new technologies, and does not hesitate to do whatever it takes to get things done, even if outside your usual responsibility area.ResponsibilitiesDevelop a vehicle companion app on iOS with a Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) core and native SwiftUI viewsProvide guidance and support across the app feature stack, including the Android app and the server layerPartner with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and peers across HondaEngage in discussions and contribute ideas to product definitions and designsWork with the team to troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issuesSupport engineering development lifecycle processes in a highly regulated and safety-oriented industryBuild prototypes to validate the feasibility of challenging requirements and to test new ideasDrive company vehicles to support hands-on product development, testing, and real-world validationGet behind the wheel for competitive analysis, benchmarking, and helping shape the next generation of our productsQualificationsBS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)Team player with a positive attitude and who is committed to continuously improving the team, the product, and the companyExperience creating readable, thoughtful, and maintainable codeExperience utilizing dependency injection, asynchronous programming, and multi-threading, particularly around structured concurrencyA passion for exploring and adopting new technologies and mobile development best practicesNice to HaveExperience in the Automotive industry$141,000 - $169,000 a year This reflects the base salary for the position. In addition, the role offers a comprehensive benefits package and a progressive bonus program. The actual compensation package is determined by a variety of factors unique to each candidate, including demonstrated skills, depth and relevance of experience, and role-specific considerations.
