Job SummaryThe Accounting Clerk is a part-time position in the Accounting Department. The Accounting Clerk will assist the Accounting Manager to ensure that the day-to-day workflow is processed in a consistent and timely manner by performing the essential duties and responsibilities assigned.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare documentation and reconcile daily cash depositsPrepare documentation and record daily bank entriesRecord and assist in the collections of pharmacy non-sufficient fundsPrepare documentation, record pharmacy accounts receivable remittance reportsReconcile and record pharmacy accounts receivable remittance reportsReview, reconcile and record daily transactions of non-clinical operating remittances posted to the health center EHR softwarePrepare documentation and record daily transfers from the health center deposit bank accounts.Receive and record various non-clinical accounts receivable checks.Maintain documents within the accounting department by filing or scanningMaintain and update various excel spreadsheets.Attend meetings, webinars, and trainings when required.Uphold in strictest confidence all information pertaining to any and all patients and health center mattersOther accounting, financial, or administrative-related duties may be assigned by the Accounting ManagerQualificationsStrong understanding of basic accounting principles.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.Ability to work with computerized accounting software, preferably Sage IntacctAbility to work with computerized pharmacy software, preferably PioneerRx.Ability to work with computerized health center software, preferably AthenaHealthMust demonstrate excellent work habits such as good attendance, organization, punctuality, dependability, professionalism; and the ability to work as a member of a team in and out of the department.Education and ExperienceThe Accounting Clerk is required to have a High School Diploma/GED and two years related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and expertise.
