Early Intervention Specialist - School-Age
HOURLY PAY: $20.20/hour plus mileage reimbursement
Positions start as part-time hours (about 20-25 per week); potential to build up to full-time hours - depending on availability and caseload in certain areas
Coverage area: Hesperia, Apple Valley, Victorville, Adelanto and surrounding areas
Raising a child with a developmental disability is a journey that takes knowledge, love, patience, and support. You will be part of a team that provides in-home early intervention specialized services for school-age children and youth where they can naturally learn and develop.
Current openings are for School-age range (4 to 21 years old): Our Specialists work in school settings 1-on-1 with children who have been diagnosed with an intellectual or developmental disability.
- Plan, schedule and provide weekly early intervention in school settings for a caseload of children/adolescents with developmental disabilities (Autism, down's syndrome, etc.).
- Administer and document all program assessments and updates accurately to meet timelines.
- Design, implement, and adapt activities for behavioral, language, cognitive, fine and gross motor, sensory, self-help, and social/emotional development, for each individual child, utilizing best practices.
- Model effective adult-child interactions and provide written information on parenting, child development, and provide parents with written weekly activities and effective coaching.
- Monitor, document, and share the child’s progress with the family and team.

Qualifications:
- Education:
- For School-age position: High School diploma (or equivalent/GED) required
- Experience: One year experience working/volunteering with infants or young children and their parents/guardians
- For school-age program position: ABA and/or Behavior Management s kills/experience/training is highly desired
- License: Valid CA driver’s license in good standing;
- Also must have at least one year of history as a licensed driver (in any US state)
- Vehicle : Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance coverage

- Availability : must be available during regular school hours - Mon-Fri between 8am and 3 pm.
