Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 18 months of combined permanent experience in the specialty applying for is required. Must have 18 months of recent emergency room experience. License: Must have a valid permanent license in hand at the time of submission. Compact licenses are accepted for any starts on or after January 1, 2023. Certifications: AHA or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required. Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification is preferred. Must-Have: Traveler must work at least every other holiday. ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments will occur during orientation, and an acceptable score on both assessments is required. Traveler will receive two attempts maximum to pass assessments; failure may result in cancellation. Description: This position is for a registered nurse specializing in emergency room care. The nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical care to patients in a fast-paced environment. Strong assessment and critical thinking skills are essential for success in this role. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Communication skills are necessary to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members. The facility requires that nurses maintain active certifications with no pending issues. Candidates must adhere to all facility policies regarding patient care and safety regulations. Nurses should be prepared to work in a demanding environment with a variety of patient diagnoses. Preparation for seasonal fluctuations in patient census is necessary.
