We're partnering with our client, a long-standing, family-owned agricultural manufacturing company seeking a Controller to take ownership of its accounting and financial operations.This is a hands-on Controller position within a small, blue-collar manufacturing environment. You'll work closely with company leadership, oversee the day-to-day accounting function, and play an important role in the organization's eventual transition from Microsoft Dynamics GP to Business Central.What You'll DoLead the company's accounting and financial reporting functionsOversee month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger activityEnsure accurate and timely financial reporting for company leadershipManage accounting processes related to a manufacturing environment, including inventory and operational activityProvide financial insight and support to the executive leadership teamOversee payroll-related accounting and applicable tax/compliance processesMaintain and continue improving accounting procedures, controls, and workflowsPartner with leadership on budgeting, planning, and other financial initiativesHelp prepare the organization for its future ERP transition from Microsoft Dynamics GP to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business CentralIdentify opportunities to further streamline and automate accounting processesWhat They're Looking ForStrong accounting experience with the ability to independently lead a Controller-level functionManufacturing accounting experience strongly preferredAgricultural or ag-related manufacturing experience would be especially valuableExperience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is highly preferredComfortable learning and working across multiple accounting and operational systemsA practical, hands-on approach — someone who can operate effectively without layers of corporate infrastructureStrong communication skills and the confidence to work directly with company ownership and leadershipThick-skinned, adaptable personality that fits well in a blue-collar, small-town environmentSomeone who can respect established processes while continuing to identify opportunities for improvementThis is an opportunity to step into an established accounting function that has already undergone significant modernization — and put your own stamp on what comes next.
