Job Title Regional Clinical Sales Specialist – Orthopaedics & Engineering Surgical Solutions (Inside Sales – MedTech, No Commission) Location Columbia, Missouri and Kansas City, Missouri, United States Overview The Regional Clinical Sales Specialist provides clinical and logistical support in hospitals and operating rooms, ensuring proper equipment function during orthopedic surgeries. The role includes independent coverage of surgical cases, managing billing and purchase orders, asset management, and collaboration with Sales Consultants. Key Responsibilities Guide and assist surgeons in the operating room, providing clinical and technical support of orthopedic surgical cases. Serve as sole Company representative, ensuring equipment readiness and proper function during surgeries. Troubleshoot and respond to physician needs; handle hospital billing, build and close purchase orders. Share customer, procedural, and marketplace insights with sales, clinical, marketing, and account teams; prepare sales reports and documents. Consult for Operating Room and Sterile Processing Departments. Maintain, track, and deploy equipment and assets to ensure availability. Ensure all promotional materials are presentable; uphold DePuy Synthes service and quality standards. Provide logistical support moving instruments, implants, and equipment between representatives and hospitals. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher OR Associate degree or Medical Certification (e.g., CST, PT) with at least 2 years of professional experience, OR a minimum of 4 years of professional experience, OR recently transitioned from active military duty. Other Requirements Ability to travel within the U.S. as necessary, including frequent overnight and/or weekend trips. Residence in or ability to relocate to the designated geographic region. Physical ability to work in a lab/operating room environment. Valid U.S. driver’s license. Strong interpersonal communication, influencing, critical thinking, and problem‑solving skills. Experience in data analysis with excellent problem‑solving skills. Results orientation and prioritization. Ability to work independently and autonomously. Ability to work in a complex organizational and team structure. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret, communicate, and work in complex environments. Functional knowledge of human anatomy and physiology; basic knowledge of surgery. Strong technical product knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, protocols, and solutions preferred.
