Coreslab Structures (Texas) Inc. Position Purpose The Safety Manager will be responsible for leading and enforcing Coreslab’s safety culture across all erection and plant operations while supporting safe and productive field execution. The position requires strong field presence and a willingness to learn operational knowledge, training capabilities, and effective communication. The responsibilities outlined below are not intended to be all-inclusive. Additional duties may be assigned as needed to support the role and business operations. Pre‑construction and Planning Participate in pre‑construction and planning meetings with general contractors and project teams to gather project‑specific safety requirements and expectations. Responsibilities Review project‑specific safety requirements. Assist with startup documentation and compliance requirements. Become familiar with GC safety platforms/websites. Coordinate required site‑specific documentation. Review logistics, crane access, delivery routes, and erection sequencing from a safety perspective. Assist operations with project startup planning. Incident Reporting & Investigations Respond to incidents and be onsite as quickly as possible following accidents or near misses. Lead investigations involving: Injuries Near misses Rigging failures Brace incidents Trailer incidents Equipment incidents Property damage Develop root cause analyses. Develop corrective action plans. Track trends and recurring deficiencies. Communicate findings and lessons learned to operations teams. Training Conduct and coordinate training including, but not limited to: Equipment training CPR / First Aid Competent Person training Rigging and signaling Fall protection Develop and refine field mentorship programs. Ensure apprentices are progressing safely and properly trained. Conduct recurring “micro‑training” sessions. Assist in developing field leadership and accountability. Development & Standardization Maintain: Site‑specific safety plans Task Hazard Analyses (JHA/THA/PTP) Trailer tie‑off procedures Stop Work Authority policies Heat illness prevention plans Equipment inspection procedures Standardize procedures between crews and projects. Assist in developing best practices for field and plant operations. Contractor Relationships for Field/Erection Operations Attend GC and owner safety meetings. Address noncompliance reports and corrective actions. Coordinate with controlling contractors regarding site expectations. Maintain realistic safety expectations related to precast erection operations. Safety Culture Drive consistent safety protocols and expectations. Build trust with field crews and plant personnel. Create field ownership of safety. Encourage foremen and supervisors to correct unsafe acts immediately. Reinforce accountability at all levels of operations. Expectations / Experiences Strong field experience in precast erection or related construction operations. Extensive crane and rigging knowledge. Understanding of erection sequencing and field logistics. Ability to communicate effectively with: Ironworkers Foremen and superintendents General contractors Company management Calm and professional incident response capabilities. Travel up to four days to various locations around Texas. OSHA 30 minimum. Capable of achieving training/certification for OSHA 510, CPR training instructor, and other training and certifications as required for the position. Additional Information Responsible for hiring, managing, training, and directing project‑specific field Safety Coordinators as required, and for providing guidance, support and oversight of the plant Safety Coordinator. Will report to the Field Operations Manager. Salaried position with company vehicle provided. Work environment will include active construction sites and professional office environments. Physical Requirements Stress tolerance: Must possess the mental and emotional fortitude to handle high‑pressure situations, tight deadlines, and unexpected challenges without adverse impact on performance or decision‑making. Extended working hours: The nature of the job may occasionally require work beyond standard office hours, especially during project peaks or when meeting critical deadlines. Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends is essential.
