Compounding Pharmacy Technician

About the Role


We are seeking a detail-oriented Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will prepare non-sterile hazardous and non-hazardous compounded medications while following established safety standards, pharmacy regulations, and company procedures. You will work closely with pharmacists and fellow technicians to ensure medications are prepared accurately, safely, and on time.


Responsibilities

• Prepare non-sterile hazardous and non-hazardous compounded medications according to established procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Accurately measure, mix, label, and package compounded medications.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and hazardous drug handling practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
• Complete required documentation and compounding records accurately.
• Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies and rotating inventory.
• Receive, inspect, and store ingredients and supplies.
• Report equipment, quality, or safety concerns promptly.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and team members to support daily production and timely prescription fulfillment.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

Qualifications

• Active Pharmacy Technician license and Certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of pharmacy compounding experience preferred.
• Knowledge of non-sterile compounding practices and hazardous drug handling.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow written procedures and safety protocols.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Schedule

• Full-time position.
• Monday through Friday with occasional weekend shifts as needed.
• Schedule flexibility may be required to support business needs.
• Advance notice will be provided whenever possible for schedule changes.
