About the Position

Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Blue Card is mandatory for all emergency room nurses. Must-Have: Epic experience must be noted in the work history. Two supervisor references are required when applying. Description: Registered Nurse specializing in case management needed. Position primarily involves inpatient care but may require cross-cover to emergency department for discharge planning and admission utilization management. Nurse is expected to manage care coordination and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include discharge planning, ensuring compliance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services guidelines, and performing needs assessments. Nurse will have knowledge of diagnosis-related groups and maintain adherence to HIPAA guidelines. A strong background in admission criteria and prior authorizations is preferred. The role includes working with diverse patient groups, primarily adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Candidate must have the ability to work effectively under pressure and demonstrate excellent communication skills. No request for time off will be accepted within the first two weeks of assignment. Maximum of seven days of time-off per contract is preferred. Nurse must maintain a flexible schedule and be open to potential managerial interviews. Modules related to training may be required, which will vary by specialty.
