Job Summary AdventHealth is seeking a Physical Therapist who will provide evidence-based, patient-centered care, facilitate innovation, and offer clinical education. The role includes responsibility for individualized treatment, documentation, billing, patient education, and supervision of therapy assistants while participating in quality improvement initiatives, community outreach, and clinical instruction. Location & Schedule Location: 301 MEMORIAL MEDICAL PKWY, DAYTONA BEACH, FL 32117 Schedule: Full time, Day shift (United States of America) Responsibilities Practice principles of professional development and performance improvements. Maintain clinical knowledge and use evidence-based practices. Serve as a Clinical instructor. Ensure employee and patient safety in daily activities. Support consumer marketing and public awareness through community events and educational lectures. Perform evaluations and re-evaluations using recommended techniques and standards. Establish, implement, and adapt individualized treatment plans with goal setting and activity planning. Document accurately, completely, and timely with measurable and objective terminology. Charge patients accurately, timely, and legibly. Identify the need for patient and caregiver education; provide teaching, including discharge recommendations. Discharge patients when maximum benefit is achieved or according to standards of practice and payer guidelines. Participate in practice changes resulting from performance improvement activities and support departmental quality standards and initiatives. Oversee care provided by physical therapist assistants and rehabilitation therapy aides per regulations and practice standards. Maintain productivity standards as defined by the department, manage time effectively, and adjust work hours to meet patient needs. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Windows, and electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Ability to read, write, and speak conversational English effectively. Ability to communicate effectively in written, verbal, and electronic formats with patients, staff, physicians, nurses, and administrators. Education Doctorate (Preferred). Field of Study: Physical Therapy. Licenses and Certifications Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS). (Required) Physical Therapist (PT). (Required) or Physical Therapist - Temporary (PT-TEMP).
