Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN Specialty: ER Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36-48 hours per week Experience: Preferred acute care facility experience. License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice. Certifications: Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per policy. AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification. AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS certification. AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS certification. Must-Have: Experience in EPIC and Cerner. Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patients' health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and promotes health in a safe environment. Evaluates progress towards attaining outcomes. Identifies outcomes for the patient or the patient's situation. Collaborates with the team of patients, families, and healthcare providers in providing patient care in a safe and healing environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients and family members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment team. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
