Job Description As a Security Officer Licensed Access Coordinator in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM, Tue 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM, Sat 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM, Sun 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by following site-specific access procedures, verifying credentials, and monitoring entry and exit activity at a utilities location. Support access control operations by screening guests, issuing badges and/or visitor passes, maintaining accurate logs, and reporting irregularities through appropriate channels. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed. Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help identify unauthorized activity, unsecured access points, and other security-related concerns. Follow Allied Universal and site protocols for key control, restricted area access, and security-related documentation while helping to support daily operations. Minimum Requirements: Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License. Possess a valid TSA Issued TWIC. Be at least 21 years of age. Customer service experience is preferred. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
