Housekeeper - Cypress Palms Resort

Position Overview Responsible for consistently meeting quality and timeliness standards in the cleaning of resort property units. Responsibilities Strip units of soiled linens. Remove trash from units. Clean units including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms, closets, and decks. Report clean units as vacant and ready for inspection. Report unit maintenance issues per company procedure. Report damaged, dirty or stained carpets, drapes, furniture, and linens. Report missing inventory and supplies to Supervisor. Perform weekly guest services cleans as directed. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of storage closets. Attend all training sessions and apply training. Ensure a safe working environment and assist in solving guest complaints promptly. Maintain a high sense of urgency so units are turned on time. Qualifications Previous housekeeping experience preferred, but not required. Must be able to lift 25 pounds. Ability to make decisions. Planning and scheduling capabilities. Ability to read, write, and perform basic math. Personal timeliness and promptness. Passion for cleanliness and strong work ethic. Ability to learn and adapt. Availability for irregular hours. Work Environment This role operates in conditions that may include odors/dust, cleaning chemicals, and laundry chemicals. The housekeeper may be asked to perform additional tasks as directed by management. Physical Requirements Requires standing, walking, pushing, pulling, moving, lifting up to 25 lbs, bending, reaching, occasional ascending/descending, and repetitive motions.
