Server Admin With Moodle ExperienceLocation: Austin, TXType: Full-Time/W2POSITION SUMMARY:HHSC is looking for a Systems Administrator to provide Database & Application Support for several enterprise Moodle Learning Management Systems.Primary responsibilities include Linux server web administration, Windows server MySQL database administration, applications systems and support, systems integration and automation, performance tuning, troubleshooting installations and upgrades.Position duties:Monitoring and maintenance of several Moodle LMS instances, including interfaces to other systems.Installs, maintains, configures, and upgrades LMS software and applications on Linux and Windows servers.Ensure security and integrity of Application and platform level security of LMS. Provide support and resolve issues after periodic Security Audits of the application and platform. Monitor logs and reports for security issues.Ensure daily backup and replication is running successfully.Perform basic and intermediate level Linux shell scripting and Windows scheduled task and batch processing.Ability to configure and administer Red Hat Linux and Windows servers. Experience maintaining and monitoring database driven websites.Server Administration: Red Hat Linux and Windows Server 2012+, includes installation, configuration, security and troubleshooting of virtual servers.Web Application support: Backend systems support for web applications. Experience configuring Apache webserver. Core PHP and Moodle application experience highly desirable. Ability to manage and update of SSL certificate implementation.Database Administration: MySQL Migrations, Backup/Restore, daily admin/monitoring, SQL installation, performance tuning for MySQL environments.Moodle LMS administration: Management, upgrade, troubleshooting, tuning and backup from an operating system and application perspective.Core PHP: Ability to understand and troubleshoot Core PHP applications.
