Mroads is looking to hire Specails Events Coordinator with one of fortune 500 direct clients which is remote. You will be responsible for planning and executing your assigned workstreams for the 2024 Commercial Conference for 3500 attendees. The three-day conference will include a Network Hub/Vendor Showcase, multiple General Sessions, Brand Sessions and Break-out sessions, three evening events, and multiple ancillary events.
Responsibilities
- Ancillary Events & Project Support
- Consult with the Special Events project lead for conference direction, expected outcomes and all key decisions related to the applicable workstream(s)
- Lead all event logistics with various internal teams as needed to successfully plan and execute ancillary events that take place during the conference.
- Provide general support to ongoing projects to ensure their smooth and efficient execution.
- Attendee Translation Services: Lead planning and conversations with translation services platform company and integrate this service into conference.
- VIPs & Executives: Working with the executive office to obtain executive travel plans and special requests. Communicate information to the housing lead. Ensure housing assignments are communicated.
- Hotel Amenities and Contracted Concessions: Devise and execute a plan for hotel amenities to be delivered to group VIPs and Executives as well as any other contracted concessions.
- Attend any necessary site visits, in-person planning meetings and weekly update calls.
- Raise any risks to Special Events Team Leadership
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Three (3) years of work experience in administrative or event roles that require a high level of prioritization and organization skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Powerpoint and Excel
- Two (2) years of event experience, particularly with large conferences of 1000+ attendees
- Event agency experience
- Cvent experience
- Proficient in Monday.com
Preferred
- Hospitality experience
- Ability to travel one to two times per year
- Bachelors degree.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: From $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Experience:
- Hospitality/Hotel operations Background: 2 years (Preferred)
- Special Events management: 4 years (Required)
