Job Title

Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Location

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Onsite | 8-hour shifts with staggered start times | Call required (weeknight, weekend, and holiday rotation)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative nursing care across 2 OR suites and 1 Endo suite, supporting 1–6 OR cases per day and up to 12 colonoscopies per day, 3 days per week
• Assist with a variety of case types including general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, endoscopy, and pain management
• Participate in weeknight, weekend, and holiday on-call rotation; call response time within 45 minutes (minimum 96 call hours per month)
• Float to recovery (PACU) as needed; pre-op cross-training available for qualified candidates
• Document patient care using Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with OR techs, charge nurses, and on-call surgical teams in a rural hospital setting

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required if working both PACU and OR; ACLS preferred for strictly OR assignments
• Operating Room nursing experience
• Ability and willingness to work in a rural hospital environment

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Endoscopy experience strongly preferred
• Experience in recovery (PACU) and/or pre-op nursing
• Scrubbing skills preferred for RN candidates
