About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Behavioral Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years, travel experience required License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Charge experience preferred - Experience with patient ratios of 1:8 - Experience with Epic charting system preferred Description: Behavioral Health Registered Nurses needed for Adult Inpatient Unit. The position requires a patient ratio of 1:8. Weekend coverage is required. Nurses may float within their scope as needed. Experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques is essential. Knowledge of various psychiatric medications and management of mood and personality disorders is necessary. Candidates must be proficient in medication administration and have familiarity with involuntary commitment procedures. The daily census is approximately 9 patients in a unit with 20 beds. Candidates should be available to complete necessary lab items within 72 hours of accepting an offer. Travel experience is highly preferred. Hard document due date is noon CST the Wednesday prior to the start. Please ensure compliance with all requirements ahead of the deadline.
