CT Technologist Job Details

• Location: Los Banos, California
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital-based CT and diagnostic X-ray department
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 24, 2026
• End Date: February 23, 2027
• Schedule: Four shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 10-hour shifts
• Shift Options: Day or night shifts; day start times may include 5:00 a.m., 6:30 a.m., 8:30 a.m., or 9:30 a.m.; night start times may include 6:30 p.m. or 8:00 p.m.
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend, with possible participation in weekend call
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,580–$2,770
• Imaging Technology: GE Optima 660 CT, Shimadzu and GE X-ray systems, EPIC, and Visage PACS

CT Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent CT Technologist or CT Tech experience required; 2 years is preferred
• Recent hands-on experience performing both CT examinations and diagnostic X-ray procedures
• ARRT certification in Radiography and Computed Tomography (R.T.(R)(CT))
• Current fluoroscopy certification
• Current venipuncture certification or documented competency
• Ability to work a variable day or night schedule based on department needs
• Willingness to work every other weekend and participate in weekend call as needed
• Strong patient-care, communication, teamwork, and diagnostic imaging skills

CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans and diagnostic X-ray examinations safely and accurately
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explain examinations, and provide compassionate patient care
• Administer contrast media and perform venipuncture in accordance with applicable protocols and competencies
• Apply radiation-safety practices and follow department quality standards
• Operate and troubleshoot CT and X-ray equipment while recognizing and escalating equipment concerns
• Review images for technical quality and complete accurate documentation in EPIC and Visage PACS
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, providers, and fellow imaging professionals
• Support weekend coverage and on-call responsibilities when scheduled
