Whether you have previous dental experience or are eager to begin a career in oral surgery, we provide comprehensive training and opportunities for professional growth.If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, value teamwork, and take pride in delivering exceptional patient care, we'd love to hear from you!Position OverviewAs an Oral Surgery Assistant, you will play an essential role in creating a positive patient experience while supporting our oral surgeons throughout a variety of surgical procedures. This position combines both clinical and administrative responsibilities and offers the opportunity to develop specialized skills in oral surgery.This is a full-time position, averaging 40 hours per week. Work schedules may vary, with shifts generally falling between 6:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Candidates must be willing to work at both our Medford and Grants Pass offices.What You'll DoWelcome patients and prepare them for consultations and surgical procedures.Review and document patient medical histories, vital signs, and health information.Assist the oral surgeon during procedures, including monitoring patients during sedation and recovery.Capture diagnostic imaging, including panoramic, PA, and i-CAT radiographs.Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and surgical equipment before each procedure.Maintain a clean, sterile clinical environment by disinfecting and sterilizing instruments according to infection control standards.Provide patients with compassionate support before, during, and after treatment.Educate patients on post-operative instructions and answer general questions.Complete required certifications, including CPR, ACLS, PALS, and DAANCE, with employer-provided training.What We're Looking ForThe ideal candidate is someone who:Has a positive attitude and enjoys helping others.Learns quickly and adapts well to new situations.Is dependable, punctual, and takes initiative.Works well independently and as part of a team.Demonstrates professionalism and excellent communication skills.Is organized with strong attention to detail.Is comfortable using computers and learning new software.Maintains accuracy in documentation and written communication.Preferred QualificationsPrevious experience in a dental or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.Spanish-speaking ability is a plus.A genuine desire to build a long-term career in oral surgery.Why Join Us?The team is committed to delivering exceptional care while creating a supportive and enjoyable workplace.
