Senior Systems Engineer

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Systems Engineer to support and enhance enterprise IT infrastructure for a rapidly growing, multi-location organization. This role is responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and continuous improvement of core infrastructure, cloud services, networks, and end-user technologies across multiple business locations. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded infrastructure professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, leading IT projects, and supporting business growth through scalable, secure technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• IT Operations & End User Support
• Provide technical support for corporate offices, branch locations, and remote employees.
• Travel to branch locations as needed to resolve hardware, network, and infrastructure issues.
• Support Windows and macOS desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, VoIP systems, and conference room technology.
• Manage employee onboarding and offboarding, including device deployment, account provisioning, and access management.
• Develop and maintain IT documentation, support processes, and service standards.
• Coordinate issue resolution with third-party vendors and technology partners.
• Systems Administration & Infrastructure
• Administer Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Intune.
• Manage Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, virtualization, and endpoint management.
• Monitor infrastructure health, security, and performance across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Support infrastructure upgrades, software deployments, and technology refresh initiatives.
• Assist with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning.
• Recommend technology improvements that enhance scalability, reliability, and user productivity.
• ERP & Business Systems Support
• ERP platforms and related business applications.
• Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate with software vendors.
• Participate in ERP implementations, upgrades, integrations, and acquisitions.
• Assist with reporting, data quality initiatives, and business process improvements.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, HR, and other departments to support business systems.
• Cybersecurity
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices, including MFA, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and access controls.
• Monitor security alerts and coordinate remediation efforts.
• Assist with incident response and ongoing security improvement initiatives.
• Maintain IT policies, standards, and compliance documentation.

Projects & Vendor Management

• Lead IT initiatives supporting acquisitions, office openings, relocations, and technology integrations.
• Manage relationships with MSPs, telecommunications providers, and software vendors.
• Coordinate infrastructure and technology projects from planning through implementation.
• Help develop and execute the IT roadmap to support organizational growth.

Required Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in Systems Administration, Infrastructure Engineering, or similar roles.
• Strong experience administering: Microsoft 365 Exchange Online Teams SharePoint OneDrive Entra ID (Azure AD) Intune
• Experience supporting: Windows Server Active Directory Group Policy Virtualization technologies
• Strong networking experience including: Firewalls Switching Wireless networking VPN DNS DHCP TCP/IP
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Experience supporting both Windows and macOS environments.
• Experience with enterprise ticketing systems (Jira Service Management, ServiceNow, ConnectWise, Autotask, or similar).
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Cisco Meraki administration (firewalls, switches, wireless, cloud management).
• Experience supporting multi-location or multi-entity organizations.
• ERP experience with Sage, NetSuite, Acumatica, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or similar platforms.
• Experience with Power BI, Crystal Reports, Azure SQL, or other reporting tools.
• API integrations, SQL query development, and database administration.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and technology integrations.
• ITIL, Microsoft, Cisco Meraki, CompTIA Network+, Security+, or similar certifications.

Additional Requirements
