Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 4 PM | Overtime available


We are seeking a reliable Kitchen Production Associate to join our growing food production team. This position is responsible for preparing, portioning, packaging, and labeling fresh meals while maintaining strict food safety and quality standards. Ideal candidates may have experience in a commercial kitchen, deli, meat market, meal prep facility, food manufacturing environment, or food production setting .

Key Responsibilities

• Portion, prep, and assemble meals according to recipe cards and production specifications, including ingredient quantities, weights, layering techniques, and pan sizes.
• Package and seal meal trays while ensuring proper product presentation and quality.
• Apply labels accurately, including product name, ingredients, weight, and pack/use-by dates.
• Follow daily production schedules and maintain required inventory levels for both store locations.
• Rotate inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
• Remove short-dated products and accurately record waste.
• Maintain temperature logs, batch records, and production documentation.
• Clean and sanitize workstations, tools, and equipment in accordance with SSOP and GMP standards.
• Receive, inspect, and stage ingredients while verifying product quality and proper temperatures.
• Maintain organized prep areas, coolers, and freezers.
• Communicate ingredient shortages, equipment concerns, or recipe discrepancies to management promptly.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to read, understand, and follow written recipes, production schedules, checklists, and logs.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accurate portions, labeling, and date coding.
• Food Handler Card required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work efficiently and maintain a consistent production pace.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, deli, meat market, food manufacturing facility, food production environment, or meal preparation operation.
• Knowledge of USDA, FSIS, or DSHS food safety guidelines.
• Experience operating vacuum sealers, tray sealers, or label printing equipment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and work on your feet for the duration of a shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
• Comfortable working in refrigerated environments, including coolers and freezers.
• Ability to work safely around knives, kitchen equipment, and food processing machinery.
