General Summary: The Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all residents and visitors at Malcolm Grow Medical Clinics (MGMC) at Joint Base Andrews-Bolling, MD. This position involves overseeing staff performance, providing guidance, and fostering a productive work environment that aligns with organizational goals. The Supervisor is responsible for coordinating tasks, managing resources, and addressing any operational challenges that arise to maintain smooth workflow. Additionally, this role requires strong communication and leadership skills to motivate team members and facilitate collaboration. Ultimately, the Supervisor contributes to achieving high-quality outcomes by balancing team needs with company objectives and standards. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in a supervisory or team lead role. Basic proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Office. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field. Experience with performance management and employee development. Knowledge of workplace safety standards and compliance requirements. Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Oversee and coordinate daily activities of team members to ensure timely and quality completion of tasks. Provide clear instructions, training, and support to staff to enhance their performance and professional development. Monitor employee attendance, productivity, and adherence to company policies and procedures. Identify operational issues and implement effective solutions to improve workflow and efficiency. Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates, gather feedback, and promote a positive work environment. Collaborate with management to align team objectives with broader organizational goals. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards within the work area Assigns tasks to housekeeping/floor technician employees and monitors progress. Spot checks employees' work to ensure compliance with housekeeping standards; performs daily performance inspections of assigned areas. Identifies new supplies and materials required for housekeeping duties and coordinates the requisitions with the Project Manager. Resolves issues or complaints among or regarding to housekeeping/floor technician staff members. Monitors employee workloads and notifies management of anticipated increase in workloads. Ensures staff members utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as appropriate and perform in compliance with established safety procedures. Ensures staff members are attired in appropriate uniform and badge in compliance with Company policies. Skills: The Supervisor utilizes leadership and communication skills daily to effectively manage and motivate team members, ensuring clear understanding of tasks and expectations. Problem-solving abilities are essential for addressing operational challenges and implementing improvements that enhance productivity. Organizational skills help in coordinating schedules, resources, and workflows to meet deadlines and quality standards. Proficiency with computer applications supports documentation, reporting, and communication tasks. Additionally, interpersonal skills foster a collaborative and respectful workplace culture, which is critical for maintaining team morale and achieving collective goals. Works in office areas as well as throughout the facility. Physical demands include intermittent sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, reaching, and other use of hands; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.; moving of furniture required.
