Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery

Schedule - Shift Type: Variable shifts - Weekends: Must be open to working weekends; typically every other weekend - Holiday Requirement: Must be willing to work 3 of the 5 listed holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Requirements - 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience preferred; minimum of 1.5 years required - Current compact state nursing license in-hand - Required Certifications: AWHONN Advanced, ACLS, BLS (BCLS), NRP - EPIC experience required - Triage experience required - Ability to perform sterile vaginal exams independently

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients during labor and delivery.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and perform assessments using external and internal fetal monitoring techniques.
• Assist with labor induction and augmentation.
• Perform sterile vaginal exams and manage VBAC/TOLAC cases.
• Support during C-sections, including assisting/scrubbing and recovery.
• Manage postpartum hemorrhage and administer magnesium sulfate therapy.
• Conduct newborn assessments to ensure proper thermoregulation and care.
• Perform IV starts and manage infusion pumps/drip management.

Compliance / Notes - All RTO/scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of application. - Facility may call off once per two-week pay period. - Background checks will be conducted; facility does not accept Nursys or background hits. - Two references required covering one year of experience within the last three years. - Scrub colors: Royal Blue for RNs; L&D/OR scrubs provided.
