The Vice President of Operations is accountable for the overall performance of the operation and reports directly to the President and CEO. This role leads the managers responsible for production, quality, procurement, facilities, and the manufacturing workforce. Rather than performing the work directly, the Vice President ensures the operation is aligned, resourced, and accountable for delivering profitable, on-time, OEM-quality results. - Overall operational performance and business results
- Hiring, developing, coaching, and holding department leaders accountable
- Production planning, capacity, and resource allocation
- On-time delivery and schedule reliability
- Quality performance, continuous improvement, and waste reduction
- Operational cost, labor efficiency, and productivity
- Procurement, supplier performance, and inventory management
- Facilities, equipment, and operational readiness
- Operational KPIs, reporting, and management operating rhythms
- Cross-functional alignment between operations, sales, engineering, and executive leadership
- Improved on-time delivery and schedule reliability
- Reduced rework, scrap, and operational waste
- Established KPIs and a consistent operating cadence
- Department leaders consistently own results and are accountable for the performance of their areas
- A more predictable, scalable operation
- 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven experience managing operations within high-mix, low-volume, make-to-order, or custom manufacturing settings
- Demonstrated accountability for operational performance across multiple manufacturing functions
- Strong track record of improving throughput, efficiency, and on-time delivery while maintaining high quality standards

- Your experience is primarily in high-volume, repetitive manufacturing environments
- You prefer leading primarily from the office instead of spending time on the production floor coaching leaders, understanding challenges, and driving accountability.
- You rely on extensive corporate infrastructure to drive results or are uncomfortable addressing difficult issues directly with sales leadership or ownership
- Base salary starting at $120,000, with higher compensation available for exceptional candidates.
