Anatomic Pathologist (Per Diem)

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding an Anatomic Pathologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring the new 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital which provides emergency care, modern labor & delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The new Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services from primary and preventive care, to specialty services for children and adults, all designed to keep our community healthy. Dedicated to providing the highest quality health care services to all New Yorkers with compassion, dignity and respect, and regardless of immigration status or ability to pay.Opportunity Details:Sign-out of general anatomic pathology cases, including surgical pathology and both GYN and non-Gyn Cytology.Intraoperative consultations.Rapid on-site evaluation of FNA adequacy, renal biopsies, and biopsy touch preparations.Review of abnormal hematology slides.Participation in interdisciplinary conferences, including tumor boards and specialty-specific meetings.Performance and sign-out of postmortem examinations.Participation in departmental quality assurance activities.Providing consultative input to referring physicians regarding lab findings.Board Eligibility and/or Certification in Anatomic or Clinical Pathology by the American Board of PathologyNew York State Physician LicensePer Diem Rate: $130.00* per hour.Physician Affiliate Group of New York, P.C.
