Material Handling Specialist

Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing and global supply chain industry, is seeking a dedicated Material Handling Specialist to join their team. As a Material Handling Specialist, you will be an essential part of the warehouse operations supporting the inbound and outbound shipment processes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong teamwork skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Material Handling Specialist

Location: Suffolk, VA

Pay Range: $18.00

Shift: Mon-Fri 7:30am to 4:30pm

What's the Job?

• Verify and prepare incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Process all warehouse materials for shipments using RF scan guns, shop floor systems, and warehouse management systems.

• Operate powered industrial handling equipment to load, unload, and move materials efficiently and safely.

• Stage, audit, and document outbound shipments, ensuring compliance with shipping protocols.

• Designate, scan, and move materials to appropriate warehouse locations, maintaining organized inventory records.

What's Needed?

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely.

• Experience in material handling and operating industrial handling equipment.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work tasks.

• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
