Virtual Design Coordinator | Germantown, MD

IMEG is hiring a Virtual Design Coordinator in Germantown, Maryland to oversee and manage Building Information Modeling (BIM) projects across all disciplines and serve as a main point of contact for BIM-related questions and concerns for the project team. This role works within project budgets while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations. Responsibilities Review the effectiveness of current standards and procedures and validate compliance Lead and participate in project meetings with clients and consultants, including BIM kickoff meetings Identify and lead team-specific training and education needs for standards and BIM/Virtual Design tools Standardize workflows and practices across offices and teams Coordinate with the project manager on model setup configuration and project scope requirements Manage project folder organization, file sharing, and file archival between IMEG disciplines and external partners Provide team-specific support for Virtual Design software and programs, escalating issues as needed Review working models and PDF deliverables for compliance with modeling and documentation standards Maintain models using best practices and established standards Run clash detection reports, resolve clashes, and participate in the BIM coordination process Ensure modeling and drawing production meet established company quality standards Coordinate models and workflow between members of the design team Qualifications and Skills Associate degree or certificate in Building Information Modeling (BIM) preferred 4 years of experience minimum, 5 preferred, or equivalent Revit experience required Strong Revit knowledge with emphasis on project setup and model management Ability to troubleshoot Revit/design software issues Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of technical plans and models preferred Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of colleagues and clients Proficient in Microsoft and MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook High level of professionalism Due to federal contract requirements, this position requires U.S. citizenship This position is not eligible for sponsorship. Compensation and Benefits State of Maryland Salary Range: $71,000 – $98,000. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
