Full Job Description:
We are seeking an Experienced Graphic Designer to prepare files for large format printing. You will work with sales staff, project managers and clients to ensure projects are setup, proofed and approved in a time sensitive manner. Our projects often involve numerous files and file types. These will be output on different large format printers to a multitude of materials and can involve die cutting. You will be responsible for making sure all aspects of each project are executed correctly. We are Enhance a Colour, a full service visual solutions company working from 140,000+ sq. ft in Danbury, CT with over 6 million in Production equipment and 40 plus great teammates.
You will perform the following duties:
• Prepare client files for print and die cut production including PDF proofs.
• Review printed color proofs and perform color adjustments/matching.
• Have working knowledge of current design techniques.
• Develop original designs, layouts and make presentations to clients.
• Must have a good eye and judgment of color, design, and printing quality.
• Develop designs, fix files, resolve issues in Creative Suite on the Mac platform.
• Manage jobs from start to finish, reviewing sales orders and schedules to plan department operations.
• Work with our client’s graphic designers and help explain jobs if needed, find answers to questions, and solving problems.
• Work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment with acute attention to detail.
• Coordinate with plant management on materials and production schedules to ensure production and quality meets customer and company standards.
Qualifications:
• Expert knowledge of Adobe illustrator and Photoshop required.
• Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and Indesign needed.
• Previous experience with large format printing processes required.
• Full knowledge of graphic design techniques.
• Ability to analyze and interpret schematics and technical drawings.
• The ability and flexibility to work on multiple tasks at one time.
• Excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication skills.
• Sound judgment, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
Experience:
• Graphic Design: 3 years (Preferred)
• Adobe Creative Suite: 3 years (Preferred)
• Adobe Illustrator: 3 years (Preferred)
• Large Format Printing: 3 years (Preferred)
• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a professional design environment
• Print production experience a plus
Education, Certifications and /or licenses:
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred, Graphic Design a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
