Sr Machinist

Job Description

Are you an experienced machinist who enjoys working on complex, precision parts? We're seeking a Senior Machinist III or IV to join a growing manufacturing team in a contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential.

What You'll Do

Set up, program, and operate CNC and manual machine tools
Machine complex, tight-tolerance components with a high degree of accuracy
Interpret blueprints, GD&T requirements, and engineering drawings
Perform inspections using precision measuring equipment
Troubleshoot machining challenges and optimize manufacturing processes
Mentor junior machinists and support continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment

What We're Looking For

5+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment
Strong CNC and manual machining skills
Proficiency reading blueprints and understanding GD&T
Experience with precision measurement tools and quality inspections
Ability to troubleshoot machining issues independently
Strong teamwork and communication skills

Preferred Experience

CNC programming (Mastercam, Fusion 360, GibbsCAM, or similar)
Experience with complex materials, tight tolerances, or regulated manufacturing environments
Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
