Title: Scientist / Senior Research Associate – Cell Culture Location: Brisbane, CA Duration: 12-Month Contract (Potential Contract-to-Hire) Pay Rate: Approximately $40–$60/hr About the Opportunity Insight Global is seeking a Scientist / Senior Research Associate – Cell Culture to support a rapidly growing biotechnology client focused on advancing next-generation gene therapy technologies. This is a highly hands-on laboratory position supporting mammalian cell culture, molecular biology, cell engineering, and viral vector development efforts. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced research environment and enjoy collaborating with multidisciplinary teams of scientists and engineers developing innovative therapeutic platforms. Responsibilities Perform routine mammalian cell culture and aseptic laboratory techniques. Maintain cell lines through thawing, passaging, freezing, and banking activities. Execute ddPCR, qPCR, flow cytometry, and related analytical assays. Support molecular biology workflows including PCR, plasmid preparation, and bacterial transformation. Assist with lentiviral and AAV vector development workflows. Contribute to cell line engineering and characterization projects. Prepare reagents, media, and laboratory materials. Document experimental activities in Benchling. Generate clear data summaries and scientific presentations. Maintain high standards of data integrity, reproducibility, and laboratory compliance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Synthetic Biology, Molecular Biology, Bioengineering, Cell Biology, or related discipline. 2+ years of industry experience in a laboratory setting. Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture. Experience performing PCR and general molecular biology techniques. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in a scientific discipline. Experience with AAV or lentiviral vectors. CRISPR, recombinase systems, or cell line engineering experience. Semi-automated workflow experience. High-throughput screening or analytical assay experience. #J-18808-Ljbffr Insight Global
