By investing in our people, we create a long-term advantage for the business.About the Role Affirm’s Workplace team is seeking an experienced Workplace Specialist II to oversee the day-to-day operations of our San Francisco headquarters. This role will focus on delivering exceptional workplace experiences that support connection, productivity, and flexibility in a remote-first environment. We are looking for someone with a hospitality mindset, great operational skills, an upbeat and approachable demeanor, and a willingness to cultivate the best employee experience for all Affirmers. This role is based out of our San Francisco HQ office and reports to the Workplace Manager. What You'll Do Own day-to-day workplace operations for our San Francisco headquarters, including janitorial services, HVAC coordination, repairs and maintenance, office supplies, the snack and beverage program, and in-office events. Serve as the primary on-site contact for building management, reporting and tracking service requests, coordinating access and maintenance activity, and driving issues through timely resolution. Manage relationships with local workplace vendors, monitor service quality and performance, address gaps, and help ensure services are delivered efficiently and within scope. Respond to and resolve local Workplace Support Portal requests, keeping employees informed and identifying recurring issues or opportunities to improve the workplace experience. Partner with the Workplace Manager on office updates and improvements ensuring work is completed on schedule and in alignment with employee needs. Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including Physical Security, Internal Events, and IT to deliver coordinated workplace solutions and a seamless on-site experience. Support office activations, events, and programming that strengthen connection and culture, including planning, on-site logistics, and coordinating with internal partners and external vendors. Maintain and reinforce local workplace policies, procedures, and resources, including the San Francisco Office Guide, so employees understand how to use and navigate the office effectively. Use employee feedback and operational observations to recommend practical improvements that enhance functionality and consistency in the workplace. What We Look For 2+ years of experience in workplace, facilities, hospitality, office operations, or a related field, ideally in a fast-paced or hybrid/remote-first environment. Strong operational and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, follow through on commitments, and maintain a high level of accuracy and responsiveness. A hospitality-oriented service mindset and a demonstrated commitment to creating thoughtful, welcoming, and reliable employee experiences. Experience managing workplace vendors and holding partners accountable for service quality, scope, timelines, and issue resolution. Experience supporting office-related projects and collaborating with external partners such as general contractors, engineers, furniture installers, or third-party project managers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill information and communicate effectively with employees, vendors, and senior leaders. Proficiency in Google Workspace and Slack; experience with Envoy, Notion, Zip, Canva, or similar workplace tools is a plus. A proactive and dependable approach, with sound judgment, comfort navigating ambiguity, and a willingness to step in wherever needed to support the office and team. While Affirm operates as a remote-first company, this role is expected to work regularly in person from our San Francisco office. Candidates must therefore be based in the Bay Area, willing to commute or willing to relocate prior to their start date. Pay Grade - GEquity Grade - 3Employees new to Affirm typically come in at the start of the pay range. Affirm focuses on providing a simple and transparent pay structure which is based on a variety of factors, including location, experience and job-related skills. Base pay is part of a total compensation package that may include equity rewards, monthly stipends for health, wellness and tech spending, and benefits (including 100% subsidized medical coverage, dental and vision for you and your dependents.)USA California base pay range per year: $100,000 - $120,000 Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
