Technical Program Manager

Expected compensation: 83.33 USD Per Hour HireArt is helping an on-demand, autonomous ride-hailing company find a Technical Program Manager to partner with engineering leaders across software, hardware, vehicle engineering, and product to drive complex cross-functional programs from planning through execution. In this role, you’ll help ensure software and hardware issues are identified, prioritized, and resolved by coordinating efforts across engineering teams. You'll develop project plans, manage risks, track progress, and provide clear visibility into program health, helping deliver safe and reliable autonomous vehicle technology. As a Technical Program Manager, You’ll Partner with product teams to identify, prioritize, and triage software and hardware issues. Work with engineering managers and technical leads to develop solutions and drive issues through resolution. Coordinate cross-functional efforts to improve software and hardware reliability and prevent future issues. Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies for complex engineering programs. Identify program risks, communicate impacts, and proactively drive mitigation plans. Prepare and deliver executive-level updates on program status, milestones, risks, and key accomplishments. Travel domestically as needed to support fleet operations. Requirements A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience 6+ years of experience in engineering, technical program management, or management consulting Proven experience managing complex cross-functional technical programs Strong understanding of software development processes and project management methodologies Experience using project management tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Gantt charts, risk matrices, or similar platforms Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships with engineering leaders and cross-functional stakeholders Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to both technical and executive audiences This role will require safety boots that conform to ASTM F2412 / F2413 requirements Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting autonomous vehicles, robotics, automotive, or other complex hardware and software development programs Experience working in fast-paced, highly cross-functional engineering organizations Benefits Pre-tax commuter benefits Employer (HireArt) subsidized healthcare benefits (eligibility begins on the first of the month following 60 days of service) Flexible Spending Account for healthcare-related costs HireArt covers all costs for short- and long-term disability and life insurance 401k package Commitment This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed via HireArt.
