Opportunity Overview

We have an immediate opening for an OR/PACU RN Per Diem to join our team at Fertility Centers of Illinois in River North, Illinois.

Schedule: Per Diem; schedule and hours vary based on need from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM with weekend rotation 3 to 4 shifts per month

Compensation: $40 to $45 per hour (commensurate with experience)

In this role, the OR/PACU RN will:

• Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify patient care problems, formulate patient care plans
• Perform initial preoperative assessment, develops a plan of care, and explains the subsequent phases of surgery
• Provide comfort measures and psychological support to the patient and family members
• Demonstrate proficiency in caring for patients who have received various types of anesthesia or conscious sedation
• Administer medications by direct intravenous and other routes as directed
• Provide patient education

Qualifications and Skills Include:

• Active RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• 2 to 3 years of clinical experience in Operating/Procedure Room or PACU experience strongly preferred
• Strong technical and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate good judgment
• Ability to communicate accurately and concisely
