JOB SUMMARY & FUNCTIONS

The Facilities Maintenance Associate provides diagnostic and repair services for manufacturing equipment, to include but not limited to Heat Treat ovens, Servo Presses, Test equipment, and all auxiliary equipment and facility related items found in a typical machine shop. The purpose of this position is To identify a Facility Maintenance Associate that can quickly learn how to troubleshoot new equipment and respond to urgent maintenance needs of any kind. They must possess good time management skills, allowing them to coordinate multiple maintenance tasks in the most efficient manner possible. They are also strong communicators that can interact with their immediate supervisor regarding the status of equipment. This position includes significant duties such as: Knowledge of common OEM machine controllers Perform mechanical repairs on production machines, and any auxiliary equipment Perform preventive and predictive maintenance production machinery Assist Lead Maintenance technicians as needed Basic understanding of low voltage schematics Basic understanding of pneumatic pumps and solenoids Identify and replace parts as necessary Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machine tool equipment and controls Use machine tool manuals, technical documents, and internal and vendor resources to troubleshoot machine issues Basic understanding of rectifiers and heaters Troubleshoot hydraulics, electronics, and software, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems Understanding of electrical wiring, hydraulics, and pneumatics & must be able to read schematics and parts drawings Utilize manual toolshop lathe, mill, and grinding equipment to fabricate repair parts as needed Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment Work based on a sense of urgency with machine down conditions Complete all maintenance related paperwork such as work order completion, lock out tagout forms, PM records, and material requisitions. Maintain safety and quality standards by using acceptable housekeeping practices on equipment and work area. Perform other essential duties as assigned by management Working Conditions While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. Proper safety precautions, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), must be followed as dictated by the job and work environment. Additionally, on a typical day you could potentially perform any of the following: Lift up to 50 lbs. above the waist and carry heavy objects Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time on various surfaces that may be uneven or slippery Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel Access any area of the equipment to perform necessary maintenance, including inspecting and performing work in, on or under parts of the equipment Safely and effectively operate lift trucks and manual lifting equipment in the process of installing, modifying, or repairing industrial equipment Education High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Experience Must have a valid driver’s license Minimum of two years’ experience in performing maintenance of general facility type machines Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance work instructions, and procedure manuals This position does not support immigration sponsorship. The range for this position is ​$24.75 hourly rate - $29.38 hourly rate. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
