License: Required Certifications: Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) from ARRT or ARMRIT

Must-Have: Basic computer experience required

Description: The Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures. The technologist will provide support for other imaging technologists as needed and help facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow. The MRI Technologist will demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts and/or at different campuses as needed or required. The technologist must be able to troubleshoot basic maintenance. The technologist will participate in quality assurance and resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system. Participation in ongoing education, safety, and technical advances within their scope of licensure is expected. The incumbent must be able to provide basic MRI screening of patients and employees, prepare maintenance and repairs, and participate in quality assurance. The technologist will adhere to and maintain the expected imaging competencies as outlined by management. Appropriately adapting patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate the unique needs of each patient served. Ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care as deemed appropriate by regulatory entities. Performing examinations/procedures as needed to assist in patient throughput within the scope of the manager's license, certification, and documented competencies. Demonstrating flexibility by working other shifts and at other campuses as needed or required. Ensuring completed exams are scanned and stored correctly. Following downtime procedures as a PACS superuser and escalating any issues as needed. Troubleshooting and reporting any equipment malfunctions to the director, manager, or biomedical personnel. Performing other duties as assigned.
