About the Role:

Dental Expressions in Bayside, NY is looking for a talented and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our growing team! Responsibilities:

Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of dental procedures including fillings, extractions, and implant surgery

Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and operatory rooms between patients

Take dental X-rays (radiographs) as directed

Greet patients, review medical histories, and ensure a comfortable patient experience

Prepare setups for specific dental procedures

Maintain accurate patient records and update charts using Dentrix

Educate patients on post-procedure care and answer any questions or concerns

Be prepared for the day by going over daily huddle with team

Order supplies for practice in coordination with doctor

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; dental assisting certification or vocational training preferred

Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a dental office or facility

Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments

Dental radiography Dexis

Strong knowledge of Dentrix software

Strong interpersonal skills with a warm, patient-centered approach

Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment

Experience in dental surgery a plus

Must speak English clearly enough to communicate and be understood by our patients
