Physical Therapy Assistant – Physical Therapy Schedule: 8 hours per day Assignment Details: Contract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 40 Requirements: Current state license to practice Physical Therapy Proof of currentCPR certification Current driver's license Reliable transportation and insurance 2 years experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant Graduate of an accredited school of physical therapy assistant with an Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Roles & Responsibilities: Administer the physical therapy treatment plan as developed by the Physical Therapist. Perform non-complex active and passive manual therapeutic exercises and modalities such as massage, heat, cold, and electrical therapies. Document client status accurately and submit clinical paperwork on time. Attend educational meetings and contribute to in-service training. Notify the supervising Physical Therapist of any equipment failures or departmental changes. Schedule clients and perform a variety of office tasks. Apply infection control and universal precautions in patient care activities. Accept clinical assignments consistent with education and competence. Compliance / Notes: Must maintain confidentiality. Requires ability to perform physical tasks such as heavy lifting, bending, and standing for prolonged periods. Work may involve stressful conditions to meet deadlines and address patient needs.
